About Me

My photo
I love God and my family very much. I have a pretty big family and they are all amazing! I love my wife, Ashley. We just got married August 13, 2011! :) I love many different sports, playing and watching. I like being active, but I love relaxing when I can. I work full time at the Financial Aid Office at Central Michigan University. I am also going to school full-time, working on my Master's in Administration, with a focus in Information Resource Management.

Real Food

I am soooooooooooo ready for real food after the wisdom teeth operation! I am starving right now just thinking about where I am gong to eat tonight. Ashley and I are about ready to leave to go to a Saginaw Spirit game. I told her I would take her out to dinner before hand also. I think our choices are Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, and Red Lobster. Oh and maybe Fire Mountain Buffet. All of them sound amazing.

I do believe my teeth are ready to handle any kind of food. I am still going to try to stay away from crunchy things like toast and chips and that sort of stuff for a couple days. But I think I am ready to handle some steak as long as I am somewhat careful. I had French Toast and sausage links this morning for Breakfast with no problems at all.

I am so happy that my teeth are all taken care of and I am ready to eat all the Christmas goodies! I am so hungry.

Snow Fort of Epic proportions

Last winter, my roommates and I made a great snow fort that branched off our front porch. This year the apartment layout is different, so we decided to go with the back porch. Monday night, we decided to get a good solid base started for the snow fort this winter. It already looks amazing!

We have quite a bit of work still to do, but the base looks pretty sweet already. I think the spray paint gave it the look we were missing last year. We want to eventually get the side wall built up enough so that it goes to about our head level.

We really like how you can see Z-12 from the road! We just need very cold temperatures for a couple months to hold it strong, and a lot more snow so we can build it up to greatness.

Great time of year

I love the Christmas season. Some people say it is starting too early, with Christmas decorations popping up in stores before Halloween is here. I do think that is crazy, but it doesn't really affect me so what do I care. I love the snow coming down, even if it means semi-crappy roads for a while. I love the Christmas music. I love getting people I care about things I hope they like. I love celebrating the birth of Jesus, and having that reminder of the amazing Christmas story in the Bible. So I am always ready for the Christmas season to start...whenever the stores decide is the best for them. :)

I am done with my Christmas shopping. I am done with school for this semester...except for a couple Statistics tests I have to take online. I am ready to sit back and relax for about a month, and get to spend time with the people I love.

The only thing I don't love right now is that I have to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled this Tuesday. Everyone that I have heard stories from about getting their wisdom teeth removed have had good results and a quick recovery. I am definitely hoping for the same, but planning on hurting for a while.

New Car

So, yeah, I kind of haven't posted anything on here for a long time. There has been a lot of stuff to write about, but I just haven't done it.

First of all, I got a different car after mine broke down one day. My dad and I looked for a few days, and my brother-in-law is a Used Car Manager at Button Dodge in Kokomo, Indiana, so we wanted to get something from him. I wanted a truck, but knew I wouldn't be able to afford it. There was a few options, and we decided to go with a Red 2005 PT Cruiser.

I wasn't too excited about it at first for some reason. But now that I have driven it for about a month now, I really like it. It gets pretty good mileage and it is really dependable. Plus, it is surprisingly spacious inside! I love the interior! So yeah, my new ride is pretty sweet so far.

Something to look forward to

So the only suggestion I have have gotten as to what I should write about included ideas like how much I love my girlfriend and how I want to marry her and take her away to California. I'll let you guess who suggested that. :) (Hint: she is the only follower of my blog.)

Of course all of those things are true, but the California part is iffy. I found a job opening in Irvine, CA for a Web Designer position. I made a resume and cover letter for it because I had to for a Capstone Senior Seminar class in the Broadcasting Program. I am thinking about actually sending it in because it looks like it would be a good job, and I have all the requirements. There are three programs they want me to know how to use, and I have used all three quite a lot and am taking classes right now that teach me more things about them everyday. Then in the Spring I am taking another Web Design class and hopefully doing an internship that will allow me to further my skills and experience.

I recently decided that I want to go into Web Design for different reasons, the main ones being because there should be a lot of job openings in that field, and I really enjoy it. I love being on the computer, so why not get paid for it? So this job would be pretty cool. California is a long ways from both our families, but if the job was offered to me, I think I would have to take it and live far away for a while.

My future is looking better, at least in my own mind. For a while I have been scared because I didn't know just what I wanted to do after college. Now that I have some direction, I am going to run as hard and fast as I can in that direction and hope it leads somewhere great. I now have something to look forward to.

Beginnings

So, I decided to start a blog...obviously. I don't even know what I want to write about yet, I just figured I could start one to have one. Everyone that will read this will most likely know me pretty well, so there isn't much to talk about that I won't already talk about with them face-to-face. Now I just rambling because my fingers are moving really fast and I am really bored at work. :) Well I guess if anyone reads this, thanks! And expect better things in the future, I just don't have any good ideas right now.
